While Physical Education is included in the curriculum at all grade levels, Pilgrim Lutheran School also offers a variety of extra-curricular athletic programs designed to help students stay physically fit, learn teamwork, and have fun! Games and competitions take place through the Lutheran School League. Offerings include:

Cross Country and Track (upper grades)

Three cross country meets are held in the fall and one to two track meets are held in the spring. This past fall, Pilgrim’s co-ed team was among 260 participants in a series of meets that culminated in the Championship Meet at Portage Park. In the girl’s 4th, 5th, and 6th grade division, Pilgrim took first place duplicating its performance in the two previous meets.

Pilgrim has six different boys and girls basketball teams at the following grade levels – 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade, and 7th/8th grade. Teams compete in regular league play and in various tournaments.

Boys And Girls’ Volleyball

Pilgrim has a great Boys and Girls volleyball program for grades 5-8. It is open to all students to participate. Students are coached in a supportive environment and compete in regular league play and tournaments throughout the year.

Pilgrim also offers Boys and Girls Bowling teams who compete against students at other schools in tournaments throughout the year.
