At Pilgrim, we strive to put the fun into fundraising! During the year, the Parent Teacher League organizes various fundraisers, such as the Annual Auction and Quiz Night, which are great ways to help the school while meeting new people.

Shopping
Full of guilt for wanting that new pair of shoes? Desperately trying to justify that large box of chocolates? Pilgrim is here to help with our Shopping Certificate Program! Our certificates are as good as cash at scores of national and local retailers including Jewel, Shell, Mobil, and numerous restaurant chains. As a result, these certificates can bring a feeling of virtue to even the most extravagant purchase! Certificates are available twice a week in the school office and after church services on Sundays. Add a festive touch to your home with a fresh Christmas wreath and decorations, or add a splash of color to your garden with a fall order of bulbs. Our annual fundraising goal is to raise $100 per teacher, to be used for classroom equipment and supplies.
Events
This is the highlight of the Pilgrim social calendar! The whole Pilgrim community of parents, church members and friends come together for an evening of dinner, dancing and shopping, with the occasional drink thrown in for good measure! Furthermore, this is a wonderful chance to socialize and party for a good cause. As a result, the annual party has helped fund popular projects such as the new playground. Items up for bid include Cubs and Sox tickets, dining experiences, weekend getaways, and themed parties thrown by groups of parents. This is a fundraiser that is not to be missed! Trivia night is held once a year as a fundraiser for the 8th grade Washington DC trip. Teams of eight adult friends compete to win $500. As a result, Trivia Night covers costs for a trip that is a highlight of 8th grade year. Keep an eye out in January for details.
More Ways to Support Pilgrim
Thrivent Financial Fund for Lutherans is a new way to automatically increase your contributions. If you own a specific Thrivent product, Thrivent will add 50% to any contribution you make to Pilgrim. As a result, if you donate $50, Thrivent will add $25 to that amount. Thrivent offers insurance, mutual funds, and investment advice. Each fall we have a Magazine Drive for both new and renewing subscriptions. Magazines may be ordered all year through QSP. 40% of all orders is donated to Pilgrim. We gratefully accept cash donations throughout the year, and will provide the necessary receipts for your tax records. In addition, many companies will match charitable donations, so don’t forget to inquire at work!
