Mrs. Goolsby is the art, handwriting, and PE instructor in Pre-K through 3rd grade. A veteran instructor with experience in visual, mixed media and art education, Mrs. Goolsby’s goal is for children to leave her classroom with a love of creating and valuing their own artistic skills and creativity. Infusing her lessons with exploration of materials and techniques, she also brings her love for art history, architecture, photography, crafting, and dance into the curriculum.
Creating a fun, nurturing and safe environment that values respect for self and others own personal skills and talents, Mrs. Goolsby tries to engage all of her students, whether they are wiggly, analytical, right or left brain, with lessons that engage all personalities and learning styles.
A Pilgrim parent herself, Mrs. Goolsby is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Environment, Textile and Design. She is married, a mother of three children and a dog named Coco. She lives in the Uptown community.
